How To Make Mutton Paya | Pakistani & Indian Food

  • 1/2 cup ghee
  • 2 medium onion, grinded
  • 1 & 1/2 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 6 mutton trotters
  • 1 & 1/2 tbsp or to taste red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 6-7 cups water
  • 1/2 tbsp Garam masala powder
  1. In a pan add ghee and onions. Fry until light brown. Add garlic paste, ginger paste, and saute for 3 minutes.
  2. Add mutton trotters and fry for 2 minutes. Add red chili powder, salt to taste, turmeric powder, and saute for 5 minutes. Add yogurt and mix well until oil separates.
  3. Add water and cook on low flame for 3-4 hours. Add garam masala powder, mix well.
  4. Cover it with a lid and cook for 10 minutes or until desired consistency.
  5. Garnish with coriander leaves, ginger, and green chilies.
  6. Serve it with naan and enjoy!
