  1. First cut off the part of the pomegranate that looks like a crown. Angle your paring knife as you cut.
  2. Pop off the top. Score the fruit. Open the pomegranate into four sections and ripping out those arrows from there. Don't worry about cutting too deeply into the fruit some juice might come out but the arrows will stay intact. Break it open.
  3. Remove arils under cool water. Scoop out the membranes. Make sure you pick out discolored seeds.
  4. In a blender pour the pomegranate arils.
  5. 5-6 large pomegranates= 4 cups of juice.
  6. Next, pour the juice through a strainer to strain out the pulp and seeds.
  7. Use a spatula to help press out the juice. Must use a rubber spatula and press the pulp and seeds against the strainer. Force the juice to come out quicker.
  8. This process takes about a minute or two. When you have nothing but pulp left above the strainer you're done and there you have it fresh pomegranate juice.
  9. Enjoy!
