  • Dough ingredients:
  • 2 & 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp Yeast
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • Warm Milk as required
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • Custard ingredients:
  • 1 & 1/4 cup Milk
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 tbsp corn flour
  • 2 tbsp flour

  1. Dough Preparation:
  2. In a bowl flour, salt, yeast, sugar, egg and little bit milk and start mixing it.
  3. Gradually add milk and knead a dough for 4-5 minutes.
  4. Add butter and knead it more for 10-12 minutes.
  5. Make a soft dough and grease it with oil.
  6. Cover it and rest it for 1 hour.
  7. Custard filling:
  8. In a bowl add eggs, sugar, flour and corn flour and whisk it well.
  9. Add milk and whisk it well again.
  10. Strain the mixture in pan and turn on the flame and cook it over medium heat until it gets thickens.
  11. Turn off the flame and let it cool.
  12. Add butter and vanilla essence and mix it well. Keep it aside.
  13. Buns preparation:
  14. Punch down the dough, make a ball.
  15. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces.
  16. Take each piece and make a ball.
  17. Take one ball and roll it out. Fill the custard in the center and roll it in a ball again.
  18. Place it in a baking tray and rest it for another 30 minutes.
  19. Apply egg wash and make a design with remaining custard filling.
  20. Bake it in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15-20 minutes or until turns golden brown.
