How To Make Chicken Shami Kabab Recipe | Eid Ul Azha Special | Pakistani Food

Ingredients

  • 1 medium size onion
  • 1 full garlic
  • 1 ginger (2 inches)
  • 5 green chili
  • 5 tbsp green coriander leaves
  • 4 cup water
  • 2 chicken cube (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp coriander seeds
  • 8 red chili
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 3 cinnamon sticks and black cardamom
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 kg chicken
  • 1 cup (250 g) split chickpeas (soak it overnight)
  • Mint leaves (optional)
  • 2 eggs
Instructions
  1. On a flame put a pot or pan, pour 4 cups of water, add chicken, split chickpeas, onion, ginger, garlic, green chilies, red chilies, cinnamon sticks, black cardamom, turmeric powder, black pepper, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, and 2 chicken cubes. Mix it well. 
  2. Let it cook for about 45 minutes. Chicken should be boiled make sure you split the chicken from its bones and let chickpeas boil. Again put the chicken in the pot. Mix it. 
  3. It should be well cooked. Switch off the flame. Take out all the spices which have been cooked like the cinnamon stick. 
  4. Use mortar and pestle to grind. After grinding add 3 green chilies, fresh coriander leaves, and mint leaves. Mix well.
  5. Now shape the shami using hands. In a pan put oil, now put shami in beaten eggs and then fry it. Make sure the flame should be at medium. Shami should be well cooked. Serve with rice and naan. 
  6. Enjoy!
