Donuts Without Oven Recipe

  • 2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp caster sugar
  • 3 tbsp (15 g) full fat powdered milk (optional)
  • 1 egg (room temperature)
  • 3 tbsp (43 g) butter, unsalted (softened or melted)
  • 2 tsp instant yeast
  • 2-3 pinches salt
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) lukewarm water
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) lukewarm milk

  1. In a cup add 1/4 cup (60 ml) lukewarm milk, and 1/4 (60 ml) lukewarm water mix it and set this aside.
  2. In a bowl add 2 cups of all-purpose flour,3 tbsp caster sugar, 3 tbsp full fat powdered milk (which is optional), 2-3 pinches of salt, 3 tbsp butter, 2 tsp instant yeast, and 1 egg.
  3. Mix it very well and gradually add the mixture of lukewarm milk and water.
  4. Make a medium soft dough.
  5. Sprinkle some flour and knead the dough for about 4-5 minutes.
  6. In a bowl add some oil and place the dough and cover it and let it rise for 1 hour.
  7. Again sprinkle some flour and knead the dough for 1-2 minutes, and again place it in a bowl for 15 minutes.
  8. After 15 minutes sprinkle some flour and spread the dough with a rolling pin.
  9. By using a cap of a jar and a bottle make holes like donuts.
  10. In a tray sprinkle some flour and place the donuts for 10-15 minutes.
  11. In a pan add oil and heat it on low flame, add the donuts and cook it on low flame.
  12. Donuts are ready now it depends on you how would you like to eat 'em.

Use softened or melted butter, properly incorporate butter into the dough. Knead the dough 4-5 minutes for soft donuts. Don't over proof, it may lead to oily and flat donuts. Don't under proof, it may lead to stiff donuts. Use slightly warm milk and water, even a little bit hot water may kill the yeast. Fry donuts on slow flame. Don't shallow fry. Only deep fry. Glaze donuts while they are slightly warm.
